Airport

Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is located approximately 11 miles from the host hotel. Popular airlines servicing MSP include:

Transfer Options

SuperShuttle

SuperShuttle offers shared-rides from and to the airport. To utilize this method of transportation you must purchase your tickets ahead of time. It is $16 each way or $28 roundtrip on a shared-ride service.

Note:

  • Select 'Hotel / Popular Landmark' as the pickup location
  • Search for the hotel using 'Hyatt-Regency'.  Confirm the following address of 1300 Nicollet Ave.

From Lindbergh Terminal (Terminal 1) proceed to the lower level and follow the signs to 'Ground Transportation'. Continue to follow the signs upstairs to the 'Scheduled Van/Hotel Shuttle Van' loading area. 

From Humphrey Terminal (Terminal 2) follow the signs to the free light rail to Terminal 1. Then continue follow the directions above.

Light Rail

The light rail travels between the Mall of America and the new Target Field. In between it stops at both airport terminals and the Nicollet Mall. You can take the light rail from the airport to Nicollet Mall for less than $2.50. Once you arrive at Nicollet Mall you can take the "Free Ride" south to the Hyatt Regency.

From Lindbergh Terminal (Terminal 1) take the escalator down one level from the tram level and purchase a rail ticket from the machine. Continue down another escalator to the rail platform.

From Humphrey Terminal (Terminal 2) follow the signs to the light rail through the parking ramps.

Note:

  1. You must purchase your tickets BEFORE you get on the train at a nearby machine
  2. On your return trip remember that it could take you up to an hour to get to the Airport
  3. There is no fee to travel between the two terminals

Taxi

Taxi service at Terminal 1-Lindbergh is accessible via the Tram Level (Level T). Signs direct passengers one level up to the taxi starter booth, where airport staff will assist passengers in obtaining a taxi.
Terminal 2-Humphrey

At Terminal 2-Humphrey, taxi service is available at the Ground Transport Center, located on the ground level of the Purple parking ramp directly across from the terminal building.
Fares

Downtown Minneapolis is approximately 11 miles from the airport, with fares averaging $39 - $49. A $6.50 fare will be displayed on the Taxicab meter at the onset of your trip. This fee includes a $2.50 flag drop and a $4 airport access fee.

Parking Options

Hyatt Regency Parking

Hyatt Regency Minneapolis will offer valet parking for $32 per 24-hour period.  Self-parking is offered at $17 per 24-hour period and includes in/out privileges.

 

Minneapolis Parking Ramps

The City of Minneapolis Parking Ramp at 11th Street & Harmon Place allows for hourly parking for visitors. The entrance and exit to the ramp is on 11th Street, just west of Harmon Place.

An electronic pay-as-you-leave system provides a convenient method to park and pay for the amount of time used. You may pay with credit card or cash.

Directions for Hourly Parking in the Ramp:

Take a ticket at the gate to enter. You will need to take your ticket with you when you leave your vehicle. Upon returning to your vehicle, you will first go to the paystation to pay. Paystations are located in the elevator/stair lobbies of each ramp. Enter your ticket in the paystation for the total amount owed. Enter payment. Your ticket will be returned to you after payment. Enter the ticket at the exit gate to leave.

  • 0 - 1 hour --$2.50
  • 1 - 2 hours--$4.00
  • 2 - 3 hours--$5.50
  • 3 - 4 hours--$6.75
  • 4 - 12 hours--$9.75
  • 12 - 24 hours--$11.75

4 p.m. – 2 a.m. $4.00

Ramp Hours: Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
